Umbrella - Bones

Singapore is located only one degree (111 kilometers) from the equator at its southernmost point, and very much enjoys an equatorial climate. High temperatures, heavy rainfall and the ensuing humidity characterize the islands’ weather year round.

Due to this climate, umbrellas are a necessary part of daily life, either to protect from the rain, or the hot sun. Nevertheless, colorful umbrellas of all shapes and sizes are perhaps the most common accessory of daily life.

This image was taken outside the market in  Tiong Bahru, captures the shadow of a woman walking with her transparent umbrella.
